Thorold Past and Present Heritage Tour 7 - Old Fire Hall

General Description

The Old Fire Hall, one of the most distinct buildings in downtown Thorold, was designed by architect John Latshaw in 1878, constructed with red and yellow brick. It was used as a fire station from 1878 until 1964, when the fire department relocated to Towpath Street. The most distinctive feature of the Old Fire Hall is the bell tower at the top. Today the Old Fire Hall has been repurposed as office space for a clothing company called "Post Office by Shannon Passero".

Exact date unknown, but likely after active use as fire station. Source: Thorold Tourism.
