General Description

Constructed by Methodists in Thorold in 1849, the church was built in theGothic style using sandstone and limestone. It was known as the Thorold Methodist Church until 1925, when it became Trinity United Church. It is a beautiful piece of architecture that is still being used as a church over 170 years after its inception.

Historical Attributes

The name Trinity United Church comes from the merger of the Congregational, Methodist, and Presbyterian Churches, creating the United Church of Canada on June 10th, 1925.
